Where to Stay in Budapest, Hungary: An Inside Look at Aria Hotel Budapest

An Inside Look to Aria Hotel Budapest

Even though we got back from our trip to Europe almost a month ago, I’m still having major vacation nostalgia. One of the places on our trip that had a lot of significance to me was Budapest. I’m a quarter Hungarian and have family there, and me and Stefan were able to meet up with my cousin (who I’d never met before) during our stay! It was so nice to be in a place with family history and to be able to explore it with someone who was familiar with the city. One of the best parts about our trip to Budapest was our stay at Aria Hotel Budapest. It’s another hotel that’s part of the Library Hotel Collection, just like Aria Hotel Prague and Hotel X Toronto. It was an absolutely magical experience getting to stay there and I can’t wait to share all about it with you in this post!

The Music Garden

The Music Garden is the first main room you walk into after you check in and it’s a gorgeous, relaxing space to spend time in. The way they’ve designed the Aria hotels is like unlike anything I’ve seen before. Like Aria Hotel Prague, it’s inspired by music, and you could feel it in every room you stepped into. The gorgeous piano key floor was a total stand out and the plush green chairs offered the perfect spots to relax.

Every afternoon from 4 to 6 pm they offer complimentary wine and cheese in the Music Garden with live music, so we got to enjoy that the day we checked in! And in the morning, there was a complimentary breakfast where you can eat from a delicious buffet and/or order eggs off the menu. We had a few hours before we headed to the airport on the day we checked out and since it was raining outside and we had seen everything we wanted to see in Budapest, we spent the time doing some work in the Music Garden. It was the perfect space to unwind with some cappuccinos!

Our Room

Our room was absolutely stunning. It was a huge space with a king-size bed, couch, fireplace, desk and tv. Every wing of the hotel is inspired by a different genre of music, and every room by a musical legend. We were in the Opera Wing and our musician was Handel. I loved the velvet purple headboard and all the lavish accents. They even play music in the elevator and corridor that corresponds with your musical wing, and if you want to go a step further, they have an in-house music concierge. The music concierge enhances your stay with a personalized playlist to enjoy throughout the hotel, in your room and in the spa.

One of my favourite parts of the room was the balcony. The wicker furniture is so cute and comfortable, it was the perfect spot to sit out, relax and read. And I loved the fact that you looked over the gorgeous courtyard.

We also got to tour some of the other rooms in the different wings. My absolute favourite was this green room in the Jazz wing. It had that underground jazz feel, but was still really elegant at the same time. And I loved the stand-alone bathtub!! Needless to say, I don’t think you can go wrong with any room in this hotel! They are all amazing!

The High Note Sky Bar

Another highlight of the hotel is the High Note Sky Bar. Overlooking the beautiful Budapest skyline, and right beside St. Peter’s Basilica, it offers mesmerizing views of the city. We took a look around the Sky Bar in the daylight and enjoyed cocktails at night. They’re known for their signature cocktails and they didn’t disappoint. High Note Sky Bar is a year-round rooftop bar, so you can visit it anytime you stay at the Aria Budapest.

Just as I mentioned in my post about Aria Hotel Prague, the service here was outstanding. Everyone who works at the hotel is incredibly pleasant and welcoming, and makes you feel right at home. They truly aim to create a personalized experience for their guests, which is so special. I also can’t forget to mention the Harmony Spa. We didn’t get the chance to enjoy the spa, but if you stay at the Aria and want some extra realzation, you should definitely check it out. The spa offers treatments inspired by various genres of music (of course!), and range from massages to facials to manis and pedis. They also offer private fitness classes as well as a heated pool, jacuzzi, steam bath and more!

The Aria Hotel Budapest is a must-stay if you’re heading to Budapest, Hungary. You’re sure to have an amazing time, it was definitely a highlight of our trip and I hope we can return back one day!

Thank you to Aria Hotel Budapest for the complimentary stay. All comments and opinions are 100% my own!
