How to Start Everyday Feeling Energized and Inspired: A Girl Boss Morning Routine

Have the best morning ever with this girl boss morning routine. From self care ideas to mindset tips to creating healthy regimens, you’ll feel energized and inspired every day! These morning routine hacks will make you more productive and push you towards your dreams and goals!

Whether you consider yourself a morning person or not, wouldn’t you love to wake up everyday feeling energized and inspired? Yes, even on Mondays! When you have a morning routine you love, and that pushes you towards your goals, you’re more likely to love waking up to do it! A great morning routine will lay the foundation for your ideal life – now it’s up to you to implement one!

Keep in mind, you’re going to have to set your alarm clock a little earlier than usual to reap the benefits of this girl boss morning routine! But it will be worth it! Here are 6 steps to feeling energized and inspired everyday! 

1) Freshen Up

First thing in the morning before you do anything else, get yourself up out of bed, wash your face, brush your teeth, and drink a big glass of water. The action of getting out of bed will start to wake you up and once you splash water on your face (I like to use cool water in the morning) you’ll be even more alert.

Brushing your teeth also signals your body to wake up and makes you feel clean and refreshed. And of course, then you should drink a huge glass of water. Your body hasn’t had water all night, which means you’re always a bit dehydrated when you wake up. All these small actions will make a big difference when all you want to do is stay in bed. 

2) Create a Morning Mindset Routine

Your mindset is what will determine whether you have a good day or bad. It’s so important to start every day with a morning mindset routine, even if it’s short. Different mindset activities work best for different people, but here are some regimens you can consider putting into your mindset routine: Meditation and reflection, journaling, affirmations, reading, writing down what you’re grateful for, or anything else that elevates your thoughts.

My morning mindset routine consists of writing in my 5 minute journal, reading/saying affirmations, reading my goal statement, visualization (which I’ll get to next!), and listening to a self/business development podcast! I’m going to add in meditation soon, and I’m looking forward to trying it! Choose a few that work best for you and do them every single morning!

3) Visualize Your Goals and Dreams

Visualization is so incredibly important. The first step to visualizing is deciding what you want and defining your goals. A great way to put this into action is by creating a vision board. Print out photos that bring to life what you want and place them on a bristol board – it’s also beneficial to write dates with the photos to signify when you want to reach certain milestones.

For example, if one of your goals is to decorate your home with new furniture, you can put a photo of your dream living room from Pinterest on your vision board and put the date: July 2020 beside it. It’s important to give your goals timelines so you know what you need to do and when you need to put in the work. Spend a few minutes every day looking at and taking in your vision board.  

4) Get Your Body Moving

Exercising in the morning gives you such a great boost to start your day! It makes your mind more alert, boosts your energy, and spurs creativity. If you can’t fit a whole workout in at the gym, you have tons of options. You can stretch, go for a walk, do jumping jacks in your living room, work from a yoga video on Youtube – get creative! I love to get a long stretch in in the morning. It feels soooo good and preps your body for the day ahead!

5) Make a Healthy Breakfast

Don’t shy away from making yourself a healthy breakfast! My favourite breakfast to make is a smoothie (banana, spinach, vanilla protein powder, almond milk, and ice – so easy!). I recently bought a Nutribullet and it’s been a life changer! I drink my smoothie right out of the cup I make it in.

Some of my other favourite breakfasts to make are beans on toast, avocado toast, hard boiled eggs with hummus, cherry tomatoes and tortillas. And usually a side of fruit and cup of tea with all of the above! You deserve a healthy breakfast. It’s one of the best ways to start your day, and when you take the time to make it for yourself each morning, you’re telling yourself you deserve it day after day!

6) Make Your ‘Must Do List’ for the Day

Before I get started on any work, I sit down and go over my to-do list for that day. I always create my to-do list for the next day the night before, so on the day of I look it over and see if there is anything I need to rejig. The to-do list is an important and kind of tricky thing to master. A lot of the time we make ourselves busy doing things that aren’t THAT important. Make sure the top of your list consists of the most important activities that will drive your business forward. This ensures you’re top priorities get done first!
