How To: Fall Layering

|Sweater: American Apparel|Shirt: Loft|Purse: Roots|Jeans: Levis|Watch: Daniel Wellington|

Fall is almost coming to an end, so I thought I’d better get a layering post up while I can still bear taking photos outside without a jacket. I recently saw this cropped knit sweater online and immediately went to the store to try it on. It’s perfect and  already my new favourite wardrobe piece. It has a mock neck, which is great for those of us who can’t/don’t want to wear turtlenecks but still want a similar look. And since it’s cropped I’ve been wearing it solo with high waisted pants, as well as layered over a longer shirt like in the above photos. I really, really love it layered. With a nice, silk shirt underneath, the outfit becomes really put together and upgrades a more casual jeans and sweater look. A watch is a great accessory to add to make an outfit more put together as well. I wear this black leather strap one from Daniel Wellington all.the.time.

Do you guys have any pieces you LOVE to layer? Tell me in the comments below 🙂
