Filling up your editorial calendar with quality content is key to your success as a lifestyle blogger! But I also know that coming up with blog post ideas for lifestyle bloggers isn’t always easy! But because I filled out my editorial calendar a couple months ago, I now know exactly what I’m writing about each week until the end of June. When June rolls around, I’ll fill in the next few months, and so on, and so on.
Why do I do this? Because I used to hate sitting down at my lap top and wasting time thinking about what to write. Life is so busy as it is, anything that can save some time is such a life saver!
As a lifestyle blogger, there is SO much you can write about. That’s another reason why it’s so important to get your content organized. Having an editorial calendar filled with amazing, substantial content is essential if you want your blog to make it big! Random posts that don’t fit with each other make it really confusing for anyone who visits your site!
PS. Haven’t started your blog yet? Follow my fool-proof guide how to start a successful lifestyle blog from the ground up!
When it comes time for me to sit down and fill in my editorial calendar, I like to start with a brainstorming session. I write down all the ideas that come to mind under each of my blog categories and then choose the ones I like best and know my readers will love too! And since I’m always writing blog post ideas down as they come to me, I compile all the post titles together, and organize them to figure out which ones should go where in my calendar.
If you’re stuck on what to write about as a lifestyle blogger, I hope this list gives you some great ideas!

Erin
These are great ideas. I’ve been thinking about starting a blog but doing some research first. I’ve read it’s important to find my niche before beginning. But I really want to blog about lifestyle. Is that too broad ?
Kate
Hi Erin! This is what I’m all about 😀 I totally think you can be successful as a lifestyle blogger, no need to pick a specific niche! But it IS important to really narrow it down to figure out your target reader. And make sure you write all of your content target towards that reader. You can still write about multiple things as long as you focus/target it! Feel free to email me if you’d like to chat more 🙂

Crystal Kelley
Thanks for the tips. I am trying to “find my blog” as in, what I want to write about, if I should stick with a lifestye blog or switch to a more narrow niche, and how I want to represent my blog. It sucks starting out! I noticed that many of these ideas aren’t on my so-called Lifestyle blog, so I need to do some major re-evaluating, haha. Thanks!

Kate
Hey Crystal! It can definitely be tough to “find your blog” but as long as you create content you love and it’s helpful for your target reader, you can and will be successful! It’s always good to have a game plan though and figure out what and who you want to write for! 🙂

I enjoy reading some blogs and find those to be a ready source of insight and information. Others are (respectfully) fairly worthless, and ought to be discontinued. I must admit I often learn as much or more from some of the more astute or intelligent comments. However, it is too often very time to consume to read through all of the worthless babbling to find them. Some of the BEST blogs.
Thanks for the great list!
