I feel so lucky to live in Toronto, a city with so many places to explore, beautiful sights to see, and delicious food and drink. Since I work for myself, I often like to get out of the house during the day. The change in scenery makes me more motivated and productive, and with so many cute Toronto coffee shops, the options are endless.
The cafes on this list are ideal if you’re looking for a place to get some work done, read, or catch up with friends over coffee and homemade treats.
Check out my favourite Toronto coffee shops you need to visit ASAP!
Dark Horse Espresso (Canary District)
If you follow me over on Instagram, you may think that I live at Canary District Dark Horse Café. It’s pretty much been my second home these past few months. I love it here! It’s so bright with floor to ceiling windows and the staff are always so friendly.
It’s the perfect place to get work done and have meetings, and it’s perfect for photoshoots! If you’re a tea lover like me, ask for the rose chai tea. It’s so delicious and quite unique.
Forget Me Not Café
Forget Me Not Café is so cute and charming. It’s a quick walk from our apartment, so I like to come here if I need to get out of the house to get work done. It’s part café, part gift emporium selling cute items like cheese boards, French presses, mugs and more. Forget Me Not has the coziest atmosphere and they serve coffee in the cutest cups.
I’ve actually only been to The Walton once, but it definitely comes out as one of my top cafes to go to in Toronto; I can’t wait to go again! The charming café is the ideal hangout for getting work done or meeting up with a friend. Me and my friend Emily got the beet and ricotta toast and it was TO DIE FOR.
We also each got a pot of tea, which came in the cutest vintage-looking pots and tea cups. It’s the perfect place to spend a morning, or even an entire day.
Oretta is one of Toronto’s most gorgeous restaurants, and around the back they have a colourful café where you can grab a quick coffee or house-baked pastry. I got the Nutella-filled pastry one day, which is absolutely delicious, and the savoury treats look just as good. They also have some of the prettiest to-go cups around town.
Versus is a small café, but one of my favourites around the city. It’s bright and airy, with a charming vibe, and they serve some of the prettiest lattés Toronto has to offer. They have wifi if you’re looking to get some work done, or you can sit there for hours catching up with friends.
The Poet Café
The Poet Café is such a cute spot. Last time I was there I got a chai latte. But it wasn’t just any chai latte. I can’t remember exactly what was in it, but I think there was lavender and cinnamon and a few other ingredients that made for an intoxicating blend. I asked for it non-sweet which wasn’t a problem, and it was the most delicious latte I’ve ever had. On week days you can stop in for a coffee, but on weekends they only seat for brunch!
