If you want to grow your blog with Pinterest, you have to be active on Pinterest consistently. This means having pins go out every single day. You can’t pins once or twice a week and expect to grow your blog traffic. I know it can be hard to find time to pin every day, and that’s where Tailwind comes in! You can pin a bunch of pins to go out through the week so you can rest assured your Pinterest is running on auto pilot.

Why Use a Pinterest Scheduler?
I don’t know about you, but I don’t have time to go on Pinterest every day to pin all my pins. Before I used a scheduler, I would either forget (or be too busy) to pin, and I never pinned as much as I wanted to due to lack of time.
Now I take 1-2 hours (usually on a Saturday or Sunday) to schedule my pins to go out over the entire week, or even more. Using a scheduler like Tailwind saves you so much time and lets you breathe easy knowing you don’t have to worry about scheduling any pins throughout the week!
How to Use the Tailwind Scheduler
As I mentioned before, Tailwind is super easy to use and pretty much does all the work for you in terms of creating a schedule. You can create as many timeslots as you want for each day of the week, and Tailwind suggests optimized times for you. If you want to add more timeslots, all you have to do is click on one of the times with the dotted lines around it and Tailwind will add it to your schedule!
Once you have your schedule, you can start adding pins! You’ll have to download the Tailwind extension to your browser, which you can do through the app, then it’s smooth sailing.
Head to your Pinterest main feed and click on the Tailwind extension. From there, you’ll be able to select the pins you want to add to your schedule! They’ll show up along the bottom (as you can see in the photo below), click “Go Schedule” and it will bring you to another page.
On this page, you type whichever board (or boards) you want to schedule each pin to, and Tailwind will add it to your scheduler in the next available time slot. You can add each pin to as many of your boards or your group boards as you like! Repeat and voila! You’ve just added tons of new content to go out to your boards!
You can also batch schedule your pins to save time. Let’s say you have a Pinterest board devoted to beauty tips (mine is called Beauty Indulgence), you can schedule all your pins on beauty tips to your beauty board all at once! See where it says “Add Board to All:” Type in the name of your board, choose it and all the pins you chose to schedule will go onto that board! This is a great way to schedule pins quick and efficiently!
Board lists are another awesome feature of Tailwind! Many of the pins you pin can likely go on multiple boards. Let’s stay with the beauty example. Maybe you have a “Makeup Tips” board, a “Beauty Tips” board, a “Makeup DIY” board and a few beauty group boards. You can create a board list so all you have to do is click on the board list and it will schedule the pin out to all the boards on the list!
As you can see below, I’ve added all my blogging group boards to a board list. So whenever I want to pin a pin to my blogging group boards, I click “Blogging Group Boards” from the drop down. Easy as pie!
You can find the pin inspector in the drop down of “Optimize Content”. The pin inspector is amazing because it tells you your most popular pins from a certain time frame. You can choose the time frame and the PI will list your pins from most re-pins to least re-pins. This gives you a good idea of your most popular content and you can also reschedule your most popular pins to your boards!
All you have to do is click “Re-schedule this pin” and it will ask you which board you want to schedule it to. If you want to schedule it to the same one you scheduled it to before, no problem. If you want to schedule it to another board, just choose it form the drop down!
Last but not least, Tailwind Tribes are the bread and butter of Tailwind (and boy do I loveeeee bread and butter!). Similar to Pinterest Group Boards, you join Tailwind Tribes with other bloggers in your niche to share your awesome content!

You don’t even have to have a Tailwind account to use Tailwind Tribes (although I do recommend joining!).
Once you join Tailwind Tribes, you might not even have to go to your main feed again. There is so much awesome content being pinned to quality tribes that I usually just schedule pins from the Tribes I belong to. Not only does it give you lots of content to choose from, it also gets your content in front of so many eyes! Your reach can grow so much with Tailwind Tribes.
As you can see, I have a 1.6M reach in this tribe. HOLY SMOKES! This definitely would not be possible without Tailwind Tribes! Just make sure to read the tribe rules and follow them! Some will ask you to pin 1 pin of someone else’s for every pin of yours you pin, some will ask you to pin 2 or 3 of someone else’s for every pin of yours. It’s all about sharing the love!
