skirt & top: Grandma’s|sandals: Aldo|sunnies: Urban Outfitters|watch: Michael Kors

A resurgence of the ’70s reigned supreme on the Fall 2015 fashion week runways, and I have nothing to complain about. There’s something about the retro-glam, boho-laden decade that I’m totally head over heels for. Flared pants, suede skits, fringe everything – yeah, it’s my jam. And if you can believe it, this outfit (top and skirt) belonged to my grandma, from what I could only guess would have been this amazing era. The brown suede skirt is totally to die for and the denim top pairs perfectly with it. I could picture her going out dancing with her friends in this getup – the woman had amazing style!
The incredible thing about the cyclical process of fashion is times like these. Times when you can wear the very same thing your grandmother wore decades ago and it fits the style of today. Fashion connects people. It connects eras. And it makes you think.
I paired her pieces with some of my favourite accessories and really loved the end result. This suede skirt is definitely going to be one of my fall go-tos!
How do you guys feel about the ’70s trend?
